Stephen - is thoroughly enjoying his internship with a natural gas company here in town. His job is actually perfect for him and I think he´s having a lot of fun doing it. What I think is cool about his job is that he gets all of this fun equipment to use including an $8000 GPS! (That is insane to me, but it´s not used just for traveling). He gets to drive a company truck while working which is a Chevy Silverado 2500 HD, it´s freakin huge. I´m posting a pic of one just because I think it´s fun that he´s driving such a nice vehicle. I can guarantee we will never be owning a brand spanking new car, unless someone wants to give us one that is :)
I´ll try to explain what he does the best I can and hopefully get it right. He goes to work at 7:30 in the morning (ugh) and goes to meetings or gets ready for his ¨trips¨. For the rest of the day he is supposed to go to 2 work sites somewhere in Central Ark, so that he can measure sound. The gas company has 50ish or more enormous tanks that hold natural gas all over the state. They are extremely loud and the company is going to build buildings around them to contain the sound. However, they have to measure how far the sound goes so they know how large to build them.
So, he drives to the job sites then has to chart 12 points using his GPS. He walks/runs through fields/woods/jungles whatever is in his way, all the while carrying a giant machete, while he´s following where his GPS tells him to go. Then he charts the point and goes to the next one. It sounds easy, but it´s not and it´s really hot outside.

Me - I am thoroughly enjoying staying home with Sam. He is so cute and has me laughing on a daily basis. I have been amping up the potty training which consists of me putting him on the potty more often. He actually enjoys being on the potty, so I enjoy putting him on there.
I recently purchased some prefold diapers (the diapers that you think of when you think cloth) and love them. I also bought some cute covers called Thirsties, so he doesn´t leak everywhere, along with Snappis as opposed to safety pins. So far I have really, really liked them. *diaperswappers.com is a great website to find some awesome baby stuff for cheap if you´re interested in any of that*
We started breaking from the paci. We´ve decided that cold turkey would be the best way to go. His teeth are already bucking and I don´t want to make them worse. We´re on day 2 and it´s going ok. Morning naps and night time has been fine, afternoon naps have been meltdown hour for him. We´re getting there though. I will be glad when this is over with.
I´m also starting to come in to my role as homemaker now. I know, I know, it´s actually been my role for 4 years, but I´m really feelin it lately and enjoying it. I´ve been buying/cooking more healthy food and it´s been fun to experiment with different recipes and not just make the same ol´ stuff. Thankfully, I have a husband that is soooo easy to please when it comes to food. Even if it tastes like crap he´ll eat it and the leftovers.
I´m 22 weeks prego now, and I´m starting to compile a list of things in my head that I would like to get done before Baby #2 comes. I´ve got my deep freezer this time around, so I am really looking forward to having all kinds of stuff in there for quick meals. I´ve been nesting like crazy which is weird because I didn´t at all with Sam. I was even on the floor last week wiping the baseboards. It was weird.

Sam - Is becoming more and more of a little boy and less and less of a baby. He started walking last week and got scared, so it has taken some coaxing to get him to do it at all. He´s been gaining some confidence though. Today he would walk short distances with little or no encouragement. I´m betting pretty soon he will be walking all over the place with no problems. It has been really fun to watch him develop too. He´s starting to say more words, or word-like sounds anyway, lol. He says ¨momma¨ now, although it is typically when he´s blubbering. Bye-bye happened yesterday accompanied with a wave, it was pretty awesome. Stephen was leaving after lunch today and Sam said, ¨da da, da da¨ then stuck his arm straight up and waved bye to him. That got Steve to stay for a few more minutes.
He understands a lot, so I´ve been working with him to do things on his own such as putting his toys away/picking up after himself. He was standing in front of the dryer the other day, so I started handing him wet clothes and told him to put them in. He helped with the whole load; it was fun. Now he´s on a kick where if something can be taken out of a basket/box/bin/shelf and put back he´s on it. Not bad for a guy that poops his pants, lol.

Baby #2 - I am enjoying this pregnancy and it has been easy so far. He is kicking harder all the time. It feels like he is doing flips in there now as opposed to the nudges I was feeling a few weeks ago. He seems stronger than Sam was too; lots more pressure and stretching. I´m looking into different birthing options. More on that once I get everything figured out. We still have no name and I´m cool with that. With Sam I was freaking out to pick a name. With this one it would be nice to have one so I could call him something, but we have nicknames for him and I can run with those for a while :)
Finally got my ultrasounds scanned. These are soooo awesome!
A couple people have commented that he looks like Sam. Hmm.
I think that is plenty of an update for now :)

I was talking to your mother today and telling her what a good mother and wife I think you are.
Awww! Thanks Tammy! :)
Gavin is totally potty trained, so I don't know how much I would like prefolds with a wiggley big boy, but we like them all right for Talan. I'm LOVING fitted diapers for him. (www.hyenacart.com/patooshiepants - their newborn fitteds are my favorite. If I could have a full stash of them, I would -- maybe next time.) I have really enjoyed CDing a newborn, but we had a nice delay with the circumcision. Petroleum jelly isn't too friendly toward cloth diapers.
