He loves vegetable soup. But I don't want to load the kid up on massive amounts of sodium, so I'm trying to find ways to get him to eat straight veggies.
Parents! I believe I have found a solution...for our little dude anyway.
I had a bag of baby carrots in the fridge that I needed to use and I thought, "what the heck, I'll try again". I steam them so they're a little soft, but not falling apart. I give him one, it touches his tongue, no go.
Hmmmm, what to do......
Dip! The boy loves to dip anything in anything!
I get the ranch out to pour in a bowl. WAIT!!! Ranch isn't even considered a real food, do I really want my kid to become a Ranch-addict? NO!!!
I'm scanning my fridge and I spot a beautiful carton of natural vanilla yogurt sitting on the top shelf. That is some good stuff, lemmetellya.
I conquer my fear of having a horrible mess smeared all over my child and the surrounding area that would most definitely involve a bath and a floor mopping. I put the unrestrained bowl of yogurt on his tray.
He devours every single carrot and then finishes off his grilled cheese sandwich by dipping that in the yogurt too. Then he starts sucking the yogurt off of his fingers. I hand him a spoon, which I should've started forever ago btw. He skillfully finishes off his bowl of yogurt.

Food in tummy and on face, not on clothes or floor!
Happy baby, happy mom!
