Sweet Deals and Sweet Faces

Quite often now I have trained myself to look out for good deals. My fave place is Kroger because I almost always find something there. Thursday night me and Kerri were there to get chocolate chips because I really, really wanted chocolate chip cookies at 9:00 pm. I always scan the whole store´s sale spots looking for mark downs: produce, meat, milk/dairy, and the newly discovered clearance aisle! I was recently informed by my MIL, who happens to be Queen of Coupons/Great Deals, that every Kroger has one of these babies. Marked down items have these eye-catching, bright orange tags so I can be 20 feet away from the salad and know if it´s marked down or not. Takes me 3 minutes to power-walk through the store lookin for orange tags. Yeah, if you ever see me in Kroger you´ll probably laugh because I am on a mission! Ok, so back to my original story, I know you all love to hear my saving tips though, right? :D

So me and Ker were doing a sweep through the store just in case. I´m talking to her about my stinky cloth diapers and how I´ve been trying all different kinds of things to get the horrid smell out of them. (Now that I think about it she probably didn´t even care, what a good sister). I´ve heard of a product called Biokleen Bac-out. A couple squirts in a cold soak of diapers will take that funky smell right out. It´s all natural and all that good stuff, so I go over to the ¨organic¨ section. It´s $5.79 for a 32 oz bottle that I can probably make last a year. Hmm, nope, I´m frugal and I ain´t paying full price, I´ll keep my stinky diapers, lol! I had checked Amazon.com earlier and it was $6 plus $9 shipping, so this was a little better.
We´re making our way to the check out where we stop by the clearance aisle. So, I´m looking, looking, looking, guess what I find?

Me and Kerri were so excited. It was so completely random! I went ahead and snagged the 7th Generation as well; that´s a great deal and I´ll use it! What´s crazy about the clearance aisle is there is nothing wrong with any of the items. Btw: I don´t buy stuff I won´t use. I´m not a thrill-seeker, I´m a bargain shopper.

I think this post is going to be very long. I´ve already uploaded the pics though, so I´m going to blog about Sam in this one too.
He still has that cough and snot galore! I´ve pretty much followed him around with a roll of toilet paper today. He took a 3 hour nap today?! I should´ve been doing the same thing! I never know when he´ll do that though. Maybe he should start letting me know seeing as I am his mommy and I feed and care for him on a regular basis. Here´s some pics that I took yesterday. He was having some daddy time which seems to make him feel somewhat better :)

Sick baby :(
I think this is my new fave! Whoo! What a cutie!

I loved your phrase: "I´m not a thrill-seeker, I´m a bargain shopper". I'm glad you found such a great deal. I'm going to Kroger today to find Easter stuff on sale. I agree that they have great deals, if you can find them. And, p.s. You're boy is so cute.
