I can FINALLY send off the birth certificate forms for...

Liam Blakeley DiGiacomo!!

Woo!! I came sooo close to mailing those suckers off without a middle name. I really wanted him to have a middle name because I didn't want him to be the only one of my bunch without one.

I also really like for the names we give our kids to have meaning. I didn't just want to pick something that sounded good, although we were pretty much to that point.

Stephen picked his name out and I approved, lol. Liam means "strong-willed warrior" or "strong protector". Either way its a good, strong name. Warrior was also pretty close to what I felt like I had in my belly when I was pregnant with him. Liam is also a spin-off of my name. Amy Leigh...get it? That was Stephen's idea too.

When we named Sam he was named after us. "S"tephen "Am"y...get it?

If we have 10 kids we're gonna have to come up with some crazy names.
It was kind of unintentional with Liam and the fact that both of their names end with "am".

Oh, hey! Just for fun see how many names you can come up with out of our names: Stephen Scott & Amy Leigh DiGiacomo.
I've actually never tried this before. Maybe one day when all the kids are asleep, I'm not tired, my house is perfectly clean, and I'm really bored will I do this.

Blakeley comes from the place where Stephen proposed to me. I thought that was pretty darn meaningful! That was a fun night and a great memory, so why not name our kid after it, right? It's better than "boat with no light ran out of gas in the middle of the lake at night". But that's another story for another post.

Anywho, I am really glad to have picked a full name 3 weeks after my kid is born. Btw, it's been 3 weeks!! Too fast, too fast!!
