The Gift of an Ordinary Day

I saw this video on a blog I came across.
It makes me feel blessed and thankful to still have "littles".
Enjoy.

Thanks for sharing, Amy. Farrell and I watched this together and we both cried. Farrell said, "Now I really don't want to grow up." He'll turn 12 in May. :)

I can completely identify with this mom, having one that is about to turn 12 and one that will turn 20 next month. I am very thankful for every minute, good and bad, I've had with both of my boys.

I am espcially thankful to be homeschooling Farrell this year and wish I would've done it with Mason too. It has given us a chance to spend much more time together since he's not gone for 8 plus hours a day, five days a week. We aren't just spending time homeschooling but curling up on my bed reading a good book together, going on awesome fieltrips, and just "being" together; ordinary days. And, as much as Mason is chomping at the bit to get into a place of his own, I'm glad to have had him home for his first year of college. I will miss him when he does move out but will be very happy for him to experience the next stage of his life.

Hang on to those sweet, chubby cheeked babies as long as you can. Stop and let the house, laundry, and dishes wait a little longer and make sure you spend time ENJOYING those babies because they won't be babies for long. The house, laundry, and dishes aren't going anywhere but your babies are. They're turning into young men with every passing day.

I thank God for every day he's given me with my sons.

Thanks for commenting Vicky! I was hoping this meant something to someone else.
Sam just turned 2 last Saturday and Liam is already 4 1/2 months! This helped me realize that I need to appreciate my babies while they're babies.
