No Spend Month - Week 1 Recap

I've only spent about 1/3 of our Grocery Budget and we haven't even made a dent in the freezer food.
So far, so good.

Of our allowance money I've spent $31.70 of mine and Stephen has spent all of his, lol. I was doing pretty good until this sweet estate sale happened. And a much needed date. We have not had a date since our anniversary in March, so it was well worth spending a bit of my allowance to not be interrupted by chillins for a solid 3 hours.

At the estate sale I bought a maple framed mirror for my entryway for $11! I've been looking for one and I couldn't pass it up. Plus I had the money.
We also used money from our Home Maintenance Account to buy a lawn mower (from the sale) and fix it up.

I don't consider this to be cheating because:

• We have been searching for a good, quality lawn mower.
• The grass was, no joke, up to Sam's shoulders.
• We have an account set up for these things.
• And Stephen said so. And what Stephen says goes :)

I've thought about putting money I would've spent into a savings account, but that's not gonna fly right now. If I was doing that I would've already put around $125 in it. Yikes.

Over the course of the week I did some serious thinking when deciding whether to purchase something or not and 99% of the time I passed. I don't remember any of it and I'm definitely not lacking. I've also gotten several things done and de-cluttered quite a bit.

All in all, twas a good week.
Now on to Week 2!
